Resident Program

The Ester Volunteer Fire Department offers a Resident Firefighter (Live-In) Program to our members. The purpose of this program is to increase station staffing on a daily basis and decrease response time to emergency calls by having qualified firefighters in the station at all times. Ester Volunteer Fire Department’s Resident Program provides an opportunity for valuable experience at a community fire department, along with being a great way to save money! We provide a room at the station, along with all utilities.

Eligibility Requirements

You must be able to obtain the certifications listed below within six months of entering the program.

The Ester Volunteer Fire Department is supported by its dedicated volunteers and paid staff. The members need to keep up on several certifications and train diligently in order to be ready to respond. The group is lead by its dedicated Chief, Jeff Conner, who gives the team its unity.
